Eat and drink at Middle Eight

Laid-back light bites, exceptional coffee and classic comforts

The perfect counterpoint to the buzz of Sycamore Vino Cucina. The Balcony is a place to relax with a book, challenge your friends to a board game, or simply sit back and watch the world. It's the place to be, whether that's stopping by for a coffee or working behind the scenes.

Don’t just take our word for it

This is a stylish, quiet spot for lunch - with lovely service, a very well judged menu (we went for lunch), wine served in good glasses - the wine by the glass was very good served at the right temperature. We had focaccia served before the meal came which is always nice. Our dishes were all exemplary and interesting. I really couldn't fault it. I would definitely go back.

Absolutely stunning! I took myself for a pre-birthday dinner & it was fabulous. The staff really gave me the 5-star treatment, the food was delicious & my waitress was really patient helping pick out a complimenting wine. After the food, I went to the Middle Eight Bar where there was live jazz from Leo Green & band. It was a really intimate performance but they didn't fail to get everyone up on their feet dancing! Even the staff in the bar were dancing away with us - the best night & the most fabulous start to my birthday & the new year!

Wow. Just wow. Everything was perfect. The service, the food, the flavours. From the starters to the main courses to the dessert - everything was surprising, tasty, and just spot-on. Could not recommend it enough. Would have rated it 6 stars if I could.

Such an amazing place for a show-stopping meal. The staff were so friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable and the food was incredible. We will be back for our next special occasion - thank you for such a wonderful night.

An incredible restaurant with sublime dishes packed with flavor and impressive technical execution! My 3-course dinner felt like a passionate courtship: enticed by the grilled prawns, blown away by the crab tortellini, nurtured by the grilled hake. Companion had the pappardelle and capriccioso pizza which were superb too. Neither of us are actually big fans of Italian cuisine, BUT by the end of this dinner, I was ready to propose to Italy for marriage and kiss the chef. Thank you for reminding us of the magic of Italian cuisine! Will certainly return with friends!
